Thumbprints
in the Hundreds
Thumbprints
in the Hundreds was a project done under the Arts Education
Initiative Grant, "One People, Many Threads" at Carl Hayden High School
in Phoenix, AZ. I was the Artist-in-Residence and worked with students
to create impressions of their thumbprint in clay. These were then
fired, glazed and assembled to create a large collaborative mosaic of a
thumbprint to display at the school. The mosaic represents how
individual student identities combine to form the larger dynamic
identity of the school.
